The Weight You’ve Been Carrying

You’ve been holding a lot —
your family, your work, your relationships, your community.

And somehow, you keep showing up.

But lately, the weight feels heavier.
Harder to carry.
Harder to ignore.

Some women come here as their first step into therapy.
Others come after realizing that coping and insight weren’t enough.

You keep pushing through, but:

  • Your mind won’t slow down

  • You feel guilty when you try to rest

  • You’re stuck in survival mode even when life looks “fine”

  • You want connection- not just coping

This isn’t just anxiety.
It’s the exhaustion of always being the strong one in places that never made space for your softness.

Here, you don’t have to hold it all together.
You don’t have to carry it alone.

Meet Your Therapist

A space where you don’t have to do it alone

I understand the invisible roles we carry.
The responsibility.
The pressure to be “fine.”
The parts of you that learned to stay strong, no matter what.

I’ve carried them too.

In our work together, you don’t have to keep holding it all on your own.
This is a space to slow down, to be met with care, and to bring all of you — without apology.

I’m Lizet, a bilingual Latina therapist and the founder of Alivio Counseling Center. My work is grounded in understanding family roles, cultural expectations, and the ways identity shapes how we learn to survive — so you don’t have to explain or translate yourself to be understood.

How this work helps things shift:

  • Tending gently to what you’ve been carrying — so past experiences stop quietly shaping your reactions, choices, and sense of safety.

Over time, this creates more steadiness inside. You begin to move through life with greater ease, confidence, and trust in yourself.

  • Working with someone who understands the cultural context, family roles, and unspoken expectations that shaped how you learned to show up — without needing to explain or translate yourself.

When you feel deeply understood, relief follows. And from that place, real change becomes possible.

  • Making room for every part of you — the capable one, the tired one, the guarded one, and the part that’s been waiting to exhale.

Instead of pushing anything away, this work helps you listen inward with curiosity and compassion, so nothing has to keep working so hard just to hold everything together.

Whether this is your first step or you’re ready for deeper healing, this work tends to what’s been unresolved
